fishing trip report for perris today 10/15/2011

[Fly Fisher]

well me and two other friends went out float tubing this morning and we start off for the island, 30 min later of paddling we got there! i started off with a buzz bait no luck, then tried some fly fishing with a popper frog still nothing so i started off with a drop shot on a power bait worm, my friend got a half lb LMB then i did then my other friend.

later i got a hit set the hook and saw it jump then lost it :(

on my long long long paddle back i just let the drop shot hang in then water and drag on the bottum, got a hit set the hook and then it darted up and out of the water! biggist fish i have ever hooked up! finolly got it in my grip and found out the hook was just set, could have came out at any time but happy it stayed in xD

photo below of the fish, after that i was done. i ended up moving to a luck E strike worm blue with blue flakes.

Nice catch...those 1lbs fish are fun.
