If it's a half day trip your probably going to be going after calicos or anything on the bottom. Bring rods and reels with 20 to 25 pound test. Sinkers: 2 to 4 ounce torpedo's. Egg sinkers from 1/2 ounce to 2 ounce if you have them. Swivels and 20 to 25 pound test fluorocarbon leader material if you have it. Hooks: 1 to 3/0 straight or circle

Don't forget lead up to 10 - 12oz. You may be rock fishing and if the current is ripping, you'll need it.

You should only need 2 rods. 1 15lb for bass and 1 25lb for rockfish.

You're going rock fishing. Bring 4 - 12oz torpedos and 2/0, 3/0, hooks (depending on bait size). Learn to tie a dropper loop. Bring a light outfit anyway in case you stop on a bass spot. You'll probably fish that with a 1/2 - 3/4oz slider above a 1 or 2 hook (assuming you'll have chovies and/or small dines).

    Good luck!

Wow I almost forgot about that. Last time I went out I brought a dozen as the new guy and I didn't have to eat the heart!
