Default Looking for recommendations for UL reel (500 size)?

Looking for UL reel recommendations and thinking about Shimano Sedona 500 or Sienna 500. Is the Sedona worth the extra $30.

I have a Bass Pro Shop Microlite (mfg by Pflueger) and it's ok, but looking for other options.

It will pair up with a G Loomis SJR 720 IMX rod that's 20 yrs old (back when Gary owned them).

    Thanks

    x2.

I use this size for 4lb and can pitch 2 gram lures about 30-40 yds. With 2lb test on this size reel I'd say one could make a 50-60yd cast if he knows what he's doing.

Oh and the sienna is a solid reel if you're not going to be constantly stressing the drag with fish over 1.5lbs.

Thanks for the suggestion, I may consider a 1000.

My favorite line is 2# Izorline xxx, but use 4# xxx when throwing Rapalas and Lip Ripper Z spoons.

you can use 2lb with a 1000, sahara is probly the best bang for the buck, or a stradicFI if you can find one on sale. Try 2lb pline floroclear, 7.99 for 300yds, its softer and casts alot better then izor xxx but not quite as strong. izor platnum is good also.

At least get a 1000, actually I have a Sienna 4000 and it's pretty decent for the price plus I got an additional 20% off when Sports Authority had it on sale.
