Labor day quialifier for King of the Cats

Got to the lake around 12 grabbed a rental and was on the west shore fishing. We didn't do so well baking in the sun, so we decided to head in at 2 to join the rest of the 57 crew. Had a little bbq and chit chatted a bit before we heading back on the water around 4. Had a good feeling about a spot in the flats so we immediately headed there before others started to fish. We landed 3 in our boat and my buddies boat next to us landed 4. All fish were caught using variations of shrimp,macks, and hotdogs soaked in Bite On Cajun. Most of the fish were caught out in open water and I believe only one bit close to the trees. Had a blast just fishing with the boys and ended up taking 3rd place. King of the Cats championship here I come!!
