    It's a bit more difficult to fish flies - or more accurately to detect strikes on a fly rig - at the depths bass often hold. Fishing dry flies or bass bugs is fairly popular in certain areas of the country, usually on lakes with heavy vegetation; reeds, lilly pads, etc..

    Awesome job on the fly. At least I know bass will bite on a variety of things.

    These bass(3) were caught in 5 feet of water but I do normally fish out deeper.

    6wt. full sink line and a black crystal Woolybugger(mine).
    I catch all my fish(bass,strips,trout,crappie,gills and one catfish) with the same fly with pretty much the same presentation which is trolling in the tube with some twitching of the line.
