I dont know either my first time there my grandpa threw out a nigtcrawler and had immediate fish on, we believe it was a crappie or a gill cuz the hook was to small to hook it. But ya that lake has good action year round. It is kinda dirty though ill say that.
If your too busy to go fishin; YOUR TOO BUSY!!!!!!

Um my reason is because I saw a 55 gallon drum with a radiation symbol on it in the water back in 1988.

we were using crappie jigs just reel in really slow and keep hitting the same area till you get hit they are there five to ten foot out,
some people were using them with a bobber and getting good results check it out

I was just there on wed. with two of my daughters and we caught 5 trout 1 crappie and 1 cat all on nightcrawlers. That lake is a favorite for us its only 20 min. from my house and a nice sandy beach for the kids to play on (just play no swimming). What part of the lake is that It doesnt look familiar to me

I didn't even know you could fish the south side we usually fish the main parking lot(north side) or the dirt lot on the west end
