Coachella Canal were to fish
I'm looking to get back fishing the canal, years ago I fished around the city of Meca, is that area still open to fish. I could sure use some information were to begin. I don't remember ever catching strippers in the canal. We fished it only for cats and bass.

the canal is off limits and going off road is also,so most fishing is at your own risk.The fence goes all the way to slab city then after that it's open.

Its not off limits... You can fish where ever its accessible. There are places all over to fish. North shore of salton sea is probably ur best bet. U can take the roads till it turns to dirt. The canal is only gated so far down.. Caught a lil Stripper and keeper Catfish last month off of shrimp..
