Pyramid free fishing day with the kids

Took my daughter and her boyfriend up to pyramid to slay some stripers on Dfg no fishing licence needed day.
I was real happy to get her back on board, last time was years ago at lake mead, she sat on the boat pulling in cat fish and turtles for hours.
They got a late start so we didn't get up there till 7 the line had allready built up and took quite awhile before we launched, all good I chilled and talked about the lake, Denmark had alot of questions saved up. Talked to Rose, I believe at the gate house talked about the Pitbull.
First stop anchored up, fished with some older dines that had been in the freezer a little to long, fish didn't care, Denmark hooked up then Ailyne, we had about 8 fish caught with most on the small side, kept a couple,then had to pull anchor for a run to the head over at beartrap, thought I was going to die...made it in time.
Made a laps around the lake, then set back up on the first spot, got a few more, all shallow fish.
Did I mention it was allready hot.., put the bimmni up helped alot but it closes down the back boat.
Made another move went back to yellow bar, big party going on back there.
The lake was full of lake lice today as expected!
Just didn't think they could be as clueless, the boat was rocking all day from wakes.
This spot held some better grade fish, best was a little over 3
Ailyne was the hot stick today, Denmark was second, I spent the day putting bait on!
It was fun hearing the kids woop and hollar about the fish.
Total for half day was 22 fish, kept 9, cut the fish got them bagged and left a 1:00
I'll post some photos later, getting the boat ready for a guide trip Sunday... Late
