    the fact that it is strong enough to cast a 5oz lure without bending in half.

    LOL.....Swimbait rods are generally long for casting distance and thick.......so you can chuck big baits without your pole breaking in half. It all depends on the size of swimbaits you plan on tossing. That will determine what rate of rods you will need.
