The rod and reel go perfectly together, excellent beginner swimbait set up. Probably a bit too much for surf fishing, unless you're targeting some sharks / rays.

Located in long beach. I used this as my first swimbait set up throwing baits like triple trouts, huddlestons, big mission fish ect. I'm not sure how it would work as a surf set up unless you're throwing some pretty big baits.

I wouldn't recommend using a Cardiff for Salt. I would use a Calcutta instead. Looks like a great fw swimbait set up. DAMN 60 bucks for a used tripletrout

looks like the triple trouts have gone down a little in price in the last few years from what i can remember. only had it at that price because its in great condition but i lowered it so well see.
