Pyramid - Memorial Day Weekend

Went out on Friday with Eggot. The wind was up, the lake lice were out and the fish unfortunately were nowhere to be found (at least by us).

Went out on Saturday morning for a 1/2 day (morning) with jonshibata and we caught 8 in the final hour and had to head home.

Went out on Monday for a full day with adriiiian and we hauled in 11 or 12 (neiter of us could recall exactly).


Mostly caught on bait, a couple while trolling but overall the activity seems to still be a bit low. Bait bite is much better. The water temperature was way down from the a few weeks ago. Now sitting near 61 in the morning and 64 by the late afternoon.

Overall it was a good weeekend @ Pyramid, but Castaic is starting to come alive so this was probably be my last whacks at Pyramid for the year.

sounds like a good day to me. pyramid has been the superior of the two lakes right now, but when castaic picks up im definitely there. unfortunately i wont be headed out for striper and monster cats until last week in june.
