Thread: Amazon river fishing?

    Default Amazon river fishing?

    Hi all,

I'm planning my second fishing trip out in Brazil this coming December and was wondering if any one of you have experience fishing the Amazon river. I fished the Rio Miranda a few years back and that was fun but now I would like to try something different. Any recommendations/info would be greatly appreciated. Thx in advance!

I went with an outfit called Acute Angling and highly recommend them. We fished the Tapera river on floating cabins and caught about 100 peacocks between the two of us each day. Also about 20 other fish each day. Several fish in the teens; the biggest was 19.5lbs.
