Default "My Backyard" Signs of some healing.

Here are some pics and vids I took on a hike up the Arroyo Seco Canyon on Monday! It was the first opportunity to legally go up there as a private citizen on my day off!

The swimming hole / wide open wild trout hole below Brown Mtn. Dam pre fire with a very nice pool!

Click on the next 2 pics for vid of what it looked like on this past Monday.

Some more pics of along my hike!
    Not much of a trail.

Some good signs are that there are now rocks exposed and some natural pools forming!

This was a drivable road pre fire but only the retaining wall exists!

Look at the silt level that came down post fire that has some what flushed down stream.

    Some signs of life!

    Some Spring wildflowers.
    Tiger Lillies.

    Lupine.

Unknown and Yucca "Our Lords Candle" coming back to life.

Golden Yarrow and Sticky Leaf Monkey Flower.

    Monkey Flower.

Matilija Poppy with Poodle weed in background.

Can anybody ID the make/model of this transmission?

Some good signs of recovery but it is at least 58 years away from recovering fully as it was after the 1956 fire!

    Thanks for looking!

That's awesome nature getting a foot hold after a terrible aftermath.

Me thinks you should go to home depot and spread fertilizer all over those plants, go to a trout hatchery and stock the pools, and enjoy your hard work.

Gravel in the stream bed is a real good sign. Great post!

Nice to know this place is back open, on the side note is the trail to the right open for hiking mountain biking? By any chance would you know?
