Default Catch and Deceased, Lake Perris 5/14

Hit up LP with Big Red on Saturday 5/14. The morning started out cold with a chilly wind, but it turned into a very nice day. Water temp was 69f in most of the lake and the water level same as last week. The bite seemed touch and go all day, but it was a good day of fishing. We landed 15 fish mixed with BG and RE, 1 stocked trout, and 1 poor bass. The bass was 17" and 3-1/4 pounds. I text a pic of the bass to my wife who instantly called for a bass dinner. Of coarse I had to keep mama happy so she will not complain about fishing every week. Pics below.

The bass fishing is slow there right now. I went out today and got a nice trout on a huge deep diver crank bait. Threw the trout back to fight on another day.

I was thinking the same thing, but then again I think everyone understood when he mentioned the wifey wanting to cook it. There's no fighting that one.
