Quite the first S.W.A.T. mission right Sid. Unforgettable indeed, congrats on the PB Halibut and a stellar day in the surf. We'll do it again soon!

Sid......Welcome to the gang. You sure know how to make a first impression on the boyz!
    Klocked.....Nice job brotha!
A special thanks to Robert for the solid intel on that spot. It's great to have our troops spread throughout socal to keep an eye on enemy strongholds that need to be brought down!
Great pics and report as always Arthur......You were so pumped when you called me it was almost like I was there when you put that WSB on the sand. Awesome job my friend!

It's going to be a good year!
Bummer you couldn't make the trip South with us Mike, but I know that you were busy entertaining another member of the Pirate Crew.
Yeah, some K.I.A's were in order to keep the Flatties in check.
Thanks for joining me this morning for the casting practice session.
At least you caught a PB "Panty" fish. lol
    See ya next weekend.

Sid after the chance meeting with you a couple weeks ago it was great to see you get that PB
    Good job all of you
    Bill
Just wait until the SB area hit the 60 degrees mark and stay there for awhile Bill. When that happens, we'll be up there just about every weekend.
Sid was telling me how he ran into you the previous week, what a small world.

Arthur, I took my new ammo out this morning. I gave it a good effort but the wind picked up earlier than expected.
    ;0)
Definitely a good trip Rick, good luck with those LC's, they will produce for you if you keep at it.

(that report should be up tonight)
6 legals in one session is a great way to start the weekend and was envious when I saw these pictures.

    Sid,
Good to put a face to the name.
Awesome that you got your PB with Arthur. It seems alot of people end up doing it that way, myself included...

    John,
I've been trying to get you down here for 3 months now and you then go without me...
    I'm just kidding Bro!
I'm glad you got on some quality fish and know that tonight you will be eating well with your son...

    Arthur,
I'm very pleased that you took my advice and made the Southern Route.
I had a strong inclination that it would be exactly as you described in this report.
Hopefully I can get out tomorrow for a few hours, since I'm working down that way, and get myself a legal.
A 30" would be nice, but it seems you took care of that...

Just an awesome morning with some awesome people, can't beat that!!!

    Robert
    <><

p.s. Justin, BRO! Sorry to hear about your rod, guess you'll just have to go out and get yourself a nicer model...
Robert, thanks again for the intel and it wasn't that hard for me to make the decision to head South. We all know that things change every single day out there, but I was hoping that they would be hanging around for a bit so we could get another crack at them. Everything worked out, now that's "teamwork." Hopefully, conditions will stabilized next weekend and we can all get together and fish!

Been getting pretty lucky lately Vincent...

Arthur, thank you for the invite, glad I could make it there to hammer those hali's with you bro! Thank you for lunch too, that really hit the spot. We definitely showed the enemy whats up, didn't we!

Sid, it was nice meeting and fishing with you. Hope to fish with you again in the future!
Yeah, insane structure John, some of deepest troughs and the widest trenches that I've ever fished.
Maybe the big swells this week will even more structure for us!
It was a blast fishing with you bro.

Wingnut, I had met Robert a few weeks back in the same area I saw you guys at yesterday and we have fished it a few times. That's pretty much my local spot that I fish 3-5 times a week. I usually do pretty good there but have to say that I have never seen that beach taken by storm as it was yesterday!!! I spent more time watching you guys pulling them left and right then I spent fishing..it was a spectacular sight to see...Hope to get the chance to fish with you guys some time in the future..I will send you a PM with my contact info and whenever you are in the area...or within a 50 mile drive... ....let me know!!
Justin, good to meet you bro... and thanks for treating the new guests to your beach with kindness and respect. Shows me a lot about your character. Got your PM and I will definitely reach out to you the next time we are in the area. Have fun shopping for a new rod!

We have to make that tandem trip to the surf soon buddy, before this project consumes all of my free time.

Just following your lead Tess... and yes, THANK YOU for leaving some for us.
Keep up the great job out there, I'm making room on the S.W.A.T. roster for you guys.

The place is loaded with hali's half buried in the sand. The troughs are bait magnets, everything gets pulled into them with the surge and loads them up. In about 6 feet of water I dove to pick up a dead lobster in one of these troughs and spooked the largest halibut I've ever seen in person, had to be 36-40 inches, scared the snot out of me. Stayed out for about 3 hours looking for WSB, but didn't see any. Lots of rays and leos in the shallows as well. Tight lines
Not sure if it's the same place... shoot me a PM, might be worthwhile to compare some notes and intel.

Love the new rods and lures, way to change things up.
Sorry you couldn't make it to Sean's b-day party last night, we saved a seat for you at the poker table.
They didn't know what hit them bro... the body bags were filling up nicely.
Sorry that I missed the party bro, still got Sean's gift in the car, see ya soon.

What's funny is how we were talking about WSB earlier in the week, and then you stuck one. Glad to see that your new project so far isn't drastically affecting your surf fishing ventures. Really regretting not making the trip down there, but I know another epic surf session is bound to happen soon.

    John,
Very solid surf session, and way to put the first halibut on the sand! Glad to see you stuck some solid fish, and had a great time out there. We're long overdue for another surf fishing trip, and it looks like some of our mutual favorite locations are about to go off. Also saw that other picture of you... and it looks like you had a good time!

    Sid,
Major congrats on shattering your PB with that solid flattie! You were in good hands out there, and you did your part to come through with a stellar trip. Congrats on being inducted into the team, and look forward to fishing with you in the future.

    Tight lines all,

    Marc
Yeah, pretty funny how we were just talking about it Marc. Almost a premonition...
The new project doesn't go into full swing until the end of June or July. Until then, I'm trying to get in as much fishing time as I can before it demands all of my free time.
Sure would have liked to have you & Dad be a part of that amazing day, but there will be plenty of other times.

And, when something grabs hold of the iron, it's usually a good one. Props for going the extra mile to the promised land.
I'm sure if anybody can make the surface iron produce, it's you Mikey. You have proven it to me beyond a doubt.

John, first of all, I saw "the pic". And let's just say, No Comment my friend, No Comment. lol Great job out there too brotha, I'll see you soon.

At first, I thought you guys headed out there with Robert, hah! boy was I wrong. Sid, we haven't met yet, but well job my friend and welcome to S.W.A.T Very nice hali's you got there bud, hope to see more of you in our outings.

All in all guys, those were some quality fish. Great job out there guys. 3 more days baby, 3 moreeee days! Locked N Loaded.
Yeah Frank, we've been putting up some good numbers on the board lately. North to South, it's been a good month for S.W.A.T.
We'll keep in touch this coming week to see how the conditions will be for next weekend. If things looks promising, I'll rally the troops!

John, you are so comical bro, the expressions on your face are classic. Sid, welcome to the Elite group of brothers, looks like you will fir right in.

Arthur, I hope your upcoming business venture won't put you in the same fate as myself. I used to get out there on a regular basis, but the need to keep up with the Jones has put my favoite pastime on the shelf. I hope this doesn't happen to you my friend. Too many people live vicariously thru your reports. Not only that, your positive influence here on the board can never be replaced or even duplicated.

I couldn't make it to Sean's birthday party either. Would have been nice for us old timers to teach those youngsters a thing or two at the poker table.
We have to do what we have to do in this ecomony Phuong. I know you had to do what you had to do to provide your family with the best things in life. They're your family and they deserve the best. The fish will always be there, first things first. You know me buddy, when I want something and put my mind to it, I will have it and it will get done. It's not like I won't have any time to fish at all, just not in the capacity that i would like... I will definitely make some time to do what I love to do, even if it means missing an important business meeting or two. There will be plenty of S.W.A.T. members to pick up the slack.

We have the utmost respect for any beach that we fish. We are always friendly the locals and try to leave the smallest footprints when we are there. The best missions are the ones people don't even notice that you're there... until you're gone.

Unfortunately I have been MIA due to ongoing family issues and a work schedule change that put me at work on Saturday for the first time in 6 months. Then about 11 am or so, I get the usual "Beep Beep Beep" from Arthur!
Argh! But it made my day!

I sometimes think there is no way that this can be any better than the previous reports but then I saw some #'s! Flattie, 23,24,25,26,28,30 and WSB 29! What happened to #27 Guys?

    Sid,

Welcome to SWAT! We needed an "Energizer Bunny" Congrats on the PB Flattie and sharing and educating the beach kids with the 1 that went home. Awsome lil Poem!

    John (Colonel Klocked),

Great to see you have another great day out in the surf! I received a counter intelligence photo this evening and now I know why you were complaining about your pants ripping on the "Spotted Fever" trip a year back in history!

    Arthur,

I'm Speechless, we are "Blessed" to be touched by you my Friend! Thanks for all you do helping others enjoy your "Love of Fishing" and you have some very unique skills regardless where you wet the line! Great to see you able to mix in the "Happy New Home life" as well as the "Extended Business Adventure" and "Expanding SWAT Crew" into your schedule!

    Steve
Steve, soon our schedules will coincide and allow us to hare the sand or water again.
I hope everything goes smoothly in the family arrangements and the healing process can begin for all.
Thank you for always having nice words for me and the Team. I assure you that the feeling is mutual.

Hey thanks for the link to that article Arthur, that helped answer my questions for LCs. I've landed a two legals and countless shorts this year already, but that's on DS and swimbaits. I'll keep trying with LCs and you guys will be the first to know!

arthur, it has been pretty awesome seeing your skill level go through the roof. Your catches constantly drive others to fish harder and smarter. Cheers on an epic trip.
