StriperFest - late insiders edition
WOW !
What a day..what a day !
I’ll start out by telling everyone..
“Thanks for coming” I looked at the smiles and all the conradery…it was apparent that everyone was having fun.
It warmed my heart to see everyone out there having a great time…!
and “bonus” we all caught fish : )
Saweeet !
I must also give a special shout out and and a HUGE thank you to those who pitched in !
I got mad luv you all !
I’m so sorry if I leave anyone out, I am still tired out but relishing the great memories : )
Bob & Hiro & Hitts On for collecting up and arranging all the raffle prizes into prize packs !
Things were just getting setup..

Hiro and Hitts on were found to be pocketing some of the raffle prizes….
This didn’t seat so well with me so I facilitated the actions of some of our local authorities….
They were both made to drop and give us all 20 push-ups !
YES SIR !......I’m Sorry SIR !
I realized I needed to keep close guard over each of those coveted raffle prizes so I administered my own brand of policing the event !
Stay clear my fellow fishin’ conrads or u’ll feel the squeal !
More thanks to Noho Art and his wife for making bumper stickers (which rocked by the way) and bringing the taco fixings and means to cook the fish…
THEN..seeing it through and cooking…and cooking…and cooking..AND COOKING !
Wow U two were working hard but did not faulter !
Great job….saweet tacos…what a job..I tip my hat to U two : )
Good to see a couple out there fishing and interacting together like that…: )
Look at ‘em hard at work…..tireless efforts !
Before they cooked, the good ol hot dog guy had joined the festivities and they couldn’t help from sampling one of those delectable hot dogs !
Cut bait showed up with a nice quality fish…
He kept boasting about a carp slay…..and how he wanted to eat his prized catch !
None of us could break the news to the poor lil’ guy…..!
I was dumbfounded by what I saw…
.I had once given cutbait a childrens pop up book showing the different fish species…I guess he got too caught up with those crayons to ever really absorb how to identify his fish species !
I was shocked when I saw how he was boasting about his prize catch !
So……not to break his poor lil’ heart….
I got into the cooking frenzy as well !
Geordypops, Disco Mike and I think there was 1 other person filleting fish…

Dayam….I saw a crime scene going on there and U all were hacking fiash for quite a long time there…I’d guess at least 50-60 stripers (prob more)…don’t know but that was some work…

Geordybass…thanks for holding the lyric book for me later on in the night by the campfire… for the live music – U are now my official StriperFest human lyric stand : )
Pyramid Rose – Thanks for all the unbelievable efforts U put forth to assist us in a successful event – I’m sure you made so many new friends from your tireless efforts.
And we all thank you again for the wonderful raffle contribution of 5 lake passes including launch..
Careful…. you just might spoil us and we’ll never want to fish anywhere else : )
U and your husband are doing great things for Pyramid lake, I consider it an honor to have met U both and have U involved with this event : )
Hiro, I wanted to also thank you for being such a good fishin buddy, I don’t care what people say about the way u dress….ur still ok in my book !
(not that I really condone it ! – but that dress and parasol really has ta go !)
U guys ALL showed true striperfest style by pitching in and really making it happen..
With all of your collective efforts it made for an event 2nd to none and one that we all won’t soon forget…
Winds were certainly more than workable, I’m so sorry the others that signed up didn’t make it out, it was a great day for all…shore or boat..
And I’ll note that this years small fish trophy winner came from the shoreline…

A quick speech about feeling glad to have stayed upwind of Trollies flatulence..
Then the festivities continued !
I presented the small fish trophy on behalf of the previous holder “Lipp’ripper” who unfortunately could not make the event.
I believe the winner’s name was Enra
(I’m sure I’ll have to correct that name later)
Mikesocean swept the pack in true striper killin style by taking the Largest fish trophy AND the heaviest stringer trophy !
A huge congrats to you for that, you bested us all…I tip my fishing hat to you !
Previous trophy holders Pontoon and Trailblazer presented the victorious angler with his prized trophies !
Trophy presenter Trailblazer couldn’t resist reminding Mike how much he thought he was studly (get a room guys !)
Mike seemed Humble for now but I’m sure Trailblazer (along with us) will see a few more pics of those trophies before the next competition !
I did see Mike consoling the heartbroken trailblazer afterwards but I’m not sure it stuck…
Cuz I saw Trailblazer weeping on Trolly’s shoulder and each shared a big pumphouse hug which I wasn’t really that comforatable seeing but I guess… “to each their own”
Bob,Trolly, & Geordybass couldn’t take watching Trailblazer’s bonding moment and did a little of their own bonding….pumphouse style….of course !

Mike celebrated with what would become my official StriperFest drink…
Some great white tequila ! a few shots well deserved ! (what brand was that again ?)
After more than a few shots, Mike sat w me and discussed his previous film career !
He wuz mumbling something about a character named Bernie that he played…and said sumthin’ bout spendin a weekend at Bernies place to research the part !....
Or somethin’ like that..
Man…something was familiar about this moment…maybe I saw that movie Mike !
Here we are discussing that moment later on and Mike was still celebrating the victory !
By showin of the win ! I think he spent the whole WEEKEND…celebrating !
I was happy to present Team trolltoon with a little gift that should aid in their Hawg catfish hooksets…

U two fella’s are some cool people, I’m glad ta know you…can’t think of two nicer fishin’ folk !
In true Striperfest fashion…there always has to be the joke’s and punking of someone..
Unfortunately for Bob he was the Victim this year…
Cutbait presented a special prize for him….

Bob, U know we all love you, thanks for having a sense of humor, that very well could have been me they played that one on just the same….

So many wonderful memories..
So many fish for that matter…man…we decimated the striper population in one singe day !
It’s great to be a part of this get-together, thank you all for attending : )

After all this IS..YOUR event..and everyone there made it what it was…
Ohhh almost forgot..
I got so caught up in the event I forgot to take any pics of my catch..
Hiro and I did catch many stripers and some real nice fat catfish which were also fillet’d and eaten on the spot..

U can tell by the smile on my face what a good time I had !
Can’t explain it…my alter ego came out and about b4 the event…
I’d like to say I saw red…but I felt a little green !
I realized that with steel was the only way I would stand any chance at a run for the honors…
So….
I spent painstaking days and nights researching…..
Covert ops were in order..
So without waiver I watched..
I studied….
I was bound determined to figure out the super tuper top secret bako methods….!
WHATEVER IT TOOK !
In the end..it became apparent that the only way to get any real winning weight was to resort to my deepest and darkest secret…
And let it be revealed !
Bob just couldn’t get that this wasn’t a trout event..
He thought for sure he had it won !
Trailblazer just couldn’t tell Bob he didn’t win !
Skipping back a few pages…on the water…
I passed the dam area..
Heard some hootin and holerin’ from Bob’s boat !
Man…I don’t know what wuz goin on there on Bob’s party boat but everyone was havin a good time !
If you look closely you’ll see Bob and trailblazer spoonin’ in the front of the boat celebrating over their trout catches !
I believe if U look to the back of the boat…U’ll see Trolly hookin’ up !
In addition to that..it looked like that was Captain corn-chowder Cutbait right next to Bob in his daisy dukes….!
And Carpman WUZ lookin ta hook up himself ! but I don’t think he had fish on his mind !
Geordybass didn’t seem to have a care dancin’ and frolickin in sheer afro-sheen fashion !
Afterwards geordy played dress-up…
All the while they discussed how they were gonna’ enter that boat in the doo-dah parade !
That passed and they boarded anutha boat !
MORE inexplicable behavior…in true trollmeister fashion !
Don’t need ta say anythin’ here !...Trolly said it ALL !
Bob and Trolly catch something floatin…they didn’t notice the corn in it !
I am at a loss for words…
Later on…in the evening..
While the coyotes barked
Then all sorts of critters were about
That’s when sky’s were all dark
Hitts-On
Donned a cold one
The capped crusader himself
Shone up a light – he thought he wuz “breakin’ out !”
It’s a Hitts-On call he screamed !
But feel the steel chimed in
Some Live music by the fire !
SHATTERED Hitts-On’s dreams
The Steel blazed a screamin’ guitar song
As Hitts-On cried and cried…tried to sing along !
Tryin ta coach Axemasta G’
He hung his head low
Dropped to his knee’s
As a full on music battle wuz about to ensue
Hitts-On grabbed the guitar !
BUT DIDN’T KNOW WHAT TO DO !
Axemasta’ G jammed out..
With the song from his heart !
That only made the Hitts-On man mad !
So he let out a shriekin’ lil’ “Girlie” Fart !
Feel the steel sang
Let ‘em bleed….. the fishermans tale !
Hitts-On tried to play the guitar again…
………………..FAIL !
He vowed to return again someday !
With a battle so true
Feel the steel man said
Bring it on cowboy
I got’s no sympathy for U !
Unlike when the devil went down to Georgia
I wuzn’t lookin ta make a deal
Hitts-on got SERVED !
