    Here is what biologist Qwin said in one of my posts. A chance your deeper sounder marks are Pond Smelt....since lots of guys on here have stated the shad at DVL are few and far between these days.


    The baitfish was either Inland Silverside or Japanese Pond Smelt. Silversides are up shallow and the Pond Smelt are deeper.
