Default Moster White Sea Bass at the Flats

So we loaded the boats, got some bait and headed to the flats for some Butt & Bass hunting. our goal for the day was a couple keeper sandies and butts, well, that was the goal.. we headed out and saw a hug pod of dolphins going crazy and birds killen bait fish so we decided to throw some bait in the water ourselves... BOOM! fish on, with 15 pound test and the reel spooling faster then ever, my dad put the boat in gear and headed toward the fish. 15 mins later this 53.6 pound 55 inch white sea bass was making our decks bloody. hooked up one another sea bass but took 200 yards of line quick. but this will have to do. took it in for an official measure and weigh. got back to the docs and DFG was doing a survey on all fish caught, she walked over with her little measure board, and scale. we laughed and she said "that's the biggest fish Ive ever seen" we had fun with her, The head had a tag so i showed her how to cut the head off. i popped her cherry on cutting fish heads. LOL! Enjoy the pics.. Thanks to Poseidon for your bounty, and our little S.S. Minnow for getting us out and in!! Fish On!!!!

    That was funny.

I feel the pain too Kevin. Landed about 10 local WSB in the last couple years.
