Default Pyramid Saturday w Hiro - more recon

    Checked pyramid Saturday with Hiro..

Water had cleared a little but still pretty murky

Surface water temp at launch was at 55 degrees..

Warmed up to 57 later…58 in the more stained water.

Winds were not favorable, pretty bad but the good thing about pyramid even when the winds are up it’s still tolerable, Castaic had closed off launching due to the winds…pyramid always stays open.

    Trolled and fished bait…

A little slow but worked at it hard and got action.

We landed 10 stripers, nothing real huge but action was had..

Hiro took a couple pics, I’m waiting for him to send me them and I’ll add them to the post.

Metered a whole lot of fish, not all schools were active though..

Conditions were better than the last outing..

Past by 2 other boats baiting down and saw them hookup as well.

Lake lice were beginning to show with the jet ski’s and powerboaters but that may have been due to Castaic not launching…

Hopefully we keep getting good weather and the fish will continue to push into spawn patterning, we’ll have to see : )

    Till next time,
    Gary

Here are the pics that Hiro took..

Didn’t photograph all feesh and Hiro was Camera shy again..

Also forgot to mention that Hiro nailed 1 smallmouth bass in the channel as we were leaving…

    Hiro’s channel smallie..

We fished 30 minutes at the channel before they closed and some of the guys there did have 3-4 schoolies on each stringer. Hope that helps!
