Inspector cutbait on the case. Yeah the mouth was throwing me off but the pikeminnow was the closest thing I knew of. That blackfish is most likely it. Even those two look the same but for the lips. At least they do on my small phone screen.
You ever get a Sacramento sucker out of the duct? I got one the other day. My first. Never seen one before in the ducks.

ive caught a few dozen of those at Hesperia Lake...there like trout mix with white carp...but they have these bloodie dots all over

Its not a squawfish. We get alot of squallys up here....looks like some kind of chub. any profile shots of that fish?
