Default New boat owner and DVL

Hey guys...been working on a boat I just picked up that has a four stroke honda 10 hp, 55 lb. bow mount trolling motor and redone, carpeted decks. I know it is compatible for DVL, but Im worried about some dirt/oil that is caked on to the bottom of the hull INSIDE the boat. Is this an issue for DVL?? Also, does the bottom of the inside of the boat have to be 100% dry? Currently, it just seems to be damp. I just dont want to drive all the way to DVL to be turned around. BTW, the motor is dry, and everything else is 100% dry.

    Thanks,

My suggestion is to call the marina and ask to speak to one of the inspectors. I have done this and they called me back and helped me prepare for an inspection. Good luck.

Jack up the front and pressure wash it.
Who wants a dirty oily boat ?
They could turn you away for oil.

Here is a pic of DVL after you lanched. LOL
