Ford Park on 3/6/2011

So after meeting up with Bassgrabber and getting skunked, headed over to my childhood fishing hole (Fork Park) around 10:30am. The last time I went the fishing were moving shallow and there were signs of life. It was obvious that the bass were in pre-spawn, so I decided to go yesterday. Glad I did. My son Vincent and I landed 7 bass between the both of us. Nothing big, (a couple of 1 pounders but mostly dinks.) These were caught by flipping Crack Craws into the beds of the bass. Sight fishing is tough, but is so much fun! Will definately try it out again next weekend.

Good ol' Ford Park. I miss fishing there when I was a kid also. Maybe i'll have to make the trip out there one of these days just for sh*ts and giggles.

Yeah. I think the mount will be better in a few more weeks. Although the fact that its raining again doesn't bode over well! lmao It was fun either way

Yeah, I've been fishing Ford since I was about 10 myself (I'm 34 going on 35.) It's a fun place, especially in the summer. I like going in the evenings and early morning for top water action when it gets hot.

I tip my hat to you, sir. A good day for me is one fish at Ford. 7? That's unheard of.

I was there on last Thursday, had fish follow, but no takers. Props.

Fishing may not be an option there soon. The city of Redlands has just turned it into an official dog park for people there. Last I was there, people were staring at me like fishing is not allowed there. Ive yet to see any signs posted yet though.

Thanks for the props. I caught 5 and my son 2. It's pretty easy right now as the bass on on prespawn. Just throw a jig inside the bed, and with patience - fish on!
