Default 02-18-11 The bite at DVL is getting better

Went fishing today at my favorite lake (DVL). Started off with the swimbait and got a decent 5lb LMB on the first cast. Hooked up with another one but she got off before I could put her in the boat. After throwing the swimbait for a few hours, I decided to try the DS. Man, what a great decision. Fishing in about 40 feet I hooked up with a pretty 7lb LMB. (Talk about a jewel). She put up a good fight but after about 5 min she was in the boat. I caught several LMB and the bite is really starting to pick up. All of the fish were released to fight another day. Get out to DVL and try your luck. The bite is really getting better..................Enjoy the Pics below..........Until next time, Tight Lines.....

Nice to see your post Fraze. Pre front - nice. Looks like a week of colder weather, though. Push them back, slow them down a bit? March is almost here! Thanks for the info!

Yeah Reel, I have finally decided to try and throw the big baits to try and get that DD LMB while the big girls are feeding in preparation for the spawn.......................

Nice job out there Fraze, esp. on the swimbait! I have been itching to get out there and toss my BBZ's.
