Stupid june lake loop question

anyone know how the cell phone reception is on the june lake loop? i'm trying to plan a trip and my buddie cant be out of cell range for too long because of work.

Verizon Wireless gets the best service up there. Last year everyone was using my phone as they got shakey service

I was in the June Lake loop last month and have Verizon and the cell service was zero until you got out onto the 395 highway!

i was up there last week and had full reception with my cingular phone...

usually have good reception at June lake area but can get sketchy the farther you go towards mono. Sounds funny but it varies on the weather and atmospheric conditions. Affects the way the signals travel.

Nextel cuts out as soon as you leave Bishop. My friend with Cingular had service up there though.

i just got back and verizon was zero on the loop, but cingular was fine..worked out good.
