    Interesting read.

    Couple of follow-ups:
    1. I believe rating by line diameter is very important if using lures that requires lots of action, and/or where casting distance matters. Line diameter is what influences the jig's action rather that the actual breaking strain . I've measured wildly different diameters for rated strength.

    2. I wonder if lure vs bait which is swallowed makes a signifcant difference. Have always wondered how those 2 lb test stand up to the trout teeth which seems somewhat sharp to me. If I grab them, it hurts - yet 2 lb test can stand up to a long fight. How is that possible?

    Thanks,
    UL

2# xxx will get the fish in no problem. As longas your drag is set right and you play the fish accordingly, you'll be able to catch them up to 20+#
