Yeah. That's a better way to describe the water. I agree any help the fish can get. I think any escapees probably ended up in the Santa Ana River and eventually Prado Lake.

Believe it or not.....this has happened before there. It is incredible to see though. It will take a few months for the water to get back to green with 5% visiblity....lol

I have seen it overflowing years back, just not as bad as this last week. Back then it took the lake years for the bass to come back and it will take years again. This year was a good year for 1 to 4 pound bass. Wont be the same next year.

Thanks for the great report. My expectation was that the lake was going to get destroyed. I was there last week to see how bad the water clarity was in order to estimate how long it will take before any visibility and vegetation growth will happen again so I know when i should come for the Spring fishing season. I hope most of the fish survived because it was pretty violent this stormy season.

I stopped by today to check it out. The water level looks normal now but is super chocolate brown, I mean real brown.

I just wish that there was more vegetation in the way of water plants (not algae or moss). Plants can really help clear the water and keep it clean. We have got to get some reeds and lilly pads going in the lakes. And if the city would turn back on the water pumps/aerators for more circulation in Lake Evans, this will also help clear up the muddy water. I wonder how many bass were swimming around on the golf course lawns?...
