Rolled out to AV with my pal Mikey…..IT WAS COLD !

Yeeeee-hole’ !

Freezing guides !

Heck….even had my braid freezing up with droplets of ice !

There was one period of the night it was difficult to cast and fish as the ice kept building up so much on the guides, line and the level wind froze solid....the line simply wouldn't slide out any more...some sick harsh stuff...but that made for an even greater challenge ! : )

Wooo-hoo !

Wooo-hoo…as the frost strips from my line collecting on the 1st 5 to 7 guides on my 7’ 11” crucial pole..

I am reminded why I put myself through the weather Gauntlet to seek the challenge that is “Stripey !”

No more Stripey action but a nice fat 6 lb class Kitty cat decided to eat my lure….

A stripey and catfish Two-fer will be on the menu tonight !

Good times……..Tuff weather….but always good time (if your dressed accordingly !)

I landed 2 stripey and lost 1 plus 1 fat kitty (no pic)

Didn’t bother weighing them but I’d guesstamate the stripey at about 9 & 12 to 13

Mickey didn’t contact the fish this outing unfortunately.

Nice catches and way to brave the cold. Guides were freezing up yesterday morning too and that was after the sun came up so I can imagine how cold it was out there last night.
