Big Home guard Yellows 11-16
Headed out with my buddy Eric, Tom and Garret out of Channel islands. We met up on Eric's boat "Happy Pappy" at 5am got a full scoop and we were off. Nice and flat conditions, cant beat this november weather. Got to the backside just before sunrise and parked in 80'. Eric and Tom were both on within minutes of getting there gear in. Unfortunately both fish tangled and in the darkness and could not tell witch direction the lines were going and popped two. Shortly after I get picked up on a sliding sinker with 40lb floro and 65' spectra. Made quick work of the fish with all the anchors and boats around us. Nice home guard about 35lb. Garret hooked into the right kind but couldn't stop the beast. I hooked up at about nine which would be the last yt bite of the day being my pb at 41lbs. Two for two so I was happy. Hung around for a few more hours hoping they would come through but never happened. Weather was like a lake all day. Good times with good buddies.
