    Default another update from the Neche River - monday after noon

    Hope I'm not upsetting anyone for posting a couple east Texas reports..

    Gotta make it quick as I'm getting up early to hopefully re-peat...


    Fished from about 3:30PM to 7pm

    Got my brother in law on his 1st Hybrid Striper......topwater popper action....
    (his 1st striper of any kind....really nice one too-pics will have to come tomorrow)

    He asked me how to work this popper.....I schooled him on it.....

    his next cast produced a small LMB....

    about 10 casts later had him SUPER bendo and drag peelin on MR stripey.....cool to watch....

    I ALSO Landed MY 1st Hybrid today as well...nice and solid unit but my brother in laws stripey was indeed bigger...but I am thrilled to have landed one today as that was one of my goals this trip out here (which wasn't really a fishing trip)

    My brother Ray: 6 White Bass , 3 LMB
    My brother in Law: 1 Hybrid Striper, 3 white bass
    Me: 22 White Bass, 1 Hybrid Striper, 6 LMB, 1 real nice white crappie (struck aLC) 2 unidentified species I have yet to research)

    Going back for one more shot....I pissed around today and got smoked downstream into a fallen log on a 2lb test rig and a marabou jig......

    No regrets....I already knew it was bringing a knife to a gunfight....coulda landed em if the the fallen tree/log didn't rub into my line....I was workin em hard downriver but no hope after she ran down under the tree...
    oh well, it was fun for about 5 minutes !

    anyways....I'll work on some pics tomorrow when I return.......

    Maybe cutbait will add the few phone pics I sent but I took more regular camera pics today
