Thread: Finally! My 1.5 Day Trip Report.

Default Finally! My 1.5 Day Trip Report.

After a failed tuna trip a couple of weeks ago, i finally had a chance to hop on a boat out of San Diego. Two weeks prior the trip, Chris (Chris273) PM'ed me to go on a trip together. Chris is one cool dude, and im glad i met him and fished with him.

Chris met at my house, and we carpooled to Seaforth Landing.

We had our reservations set for the Legend on a 1.5 Day Trip.

First of all, i would like to thank and recommend this boat! Awesome captain, crew, and chef! Made the trip a whole lot better.

"Lake Like" water conditions all weekend long!

    Our choice of Arsenals.

    Lots of trolling & Purposes.

Deckhand/Captain Danny on the look out for kelp patties.

And finally some kelp, then....BENDOS ALL AROUND!!!

WFO baby sized Yellowtails. Averaging around 3-12lbs. Limits for all anglers + some catch and release.

Here is Chris with his YT.

My YT on the surface iron.

Then during the day, we do more trolling, and all of a sudden ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!

Couple of the lucky anglers who hooked up on one of these bad boys!

And here is my first ever tuna! 30lb Yellowfin Tuna.
(and no, i didnt get to eat the heart. Deckhands were too busy, and they dropped my fist straight into the freezer. And yes I told them it was my first one. Hopefully next time!)

We all landed limits of YT and a few tunas. Here are my end results along with Chris fish he let me have. Thanks again Chris, had a great time out on the salts with you bro!

Thanks for reading, TFC:TheFishingCrew Slays Yet Again!!!

Nice killing dude! And congrats on your first Yellow Fin! Dumb deckhands screwed up the tradition. But if everyone's hooking up at the same time, I guess you have to keep on fishing. Next time. Making a name for that TFClick! HA!
