Default Sat Slaying with Art Berry 10/16

What a day! My girlfriend booked me a trip with Art Berry for my birthday. We were tired of skunking this lake and it was time to get put on these fish...and fish we did! Got on the water around 7ish, overcast till about 11:30. Wind picked up a little around 1.

After a quick lesson, my girl casts out and gets HAMMERED! I knew right away things had changed. Then i got my chance and got some action too. Pulling in LMB's and stripers left and right. My girl caught a nice smallmouth early in the day, and i got toilet bowled BIG TIME by a DD stripper. We went out expecting schoolies, but I never expected the DD! We hit boils and points most the day then ended up in one area for most the afternoon. HUGE LMB's were boiling all around us and we knew we were going to get slammed...Art pulled in a few huge LMB's and then the highlight of the day came when my girl hooked into an enormous SMB that just about yanked her out of the boat. Left around 4 with a full cooler of shoolies (13) and 1 pig striper.

Anyone that is tired of skunking or just need a little advantage on this lake, book a trip with ART. It was worth every penny. After a few hours on the lake we didnt feel like we were fishung with just a random stranger, we felt like we had a new friend. Art was very helpful (obviously) and very down to earth with a great sense of humor. He wasnt out there just to get paid, he was out there to make us better fishermen..and fisherwoman. Cant thank you enough Art, and be careful around holes in the ice surrounded by peas!

I have fished with Art 4 times now and learned alot from this guy. Just fishing with the guy speeds up the learning curve.
