Thread: The 43 for Tuna....no pics

Default The 43 for Tuna....no pics

Got out to the 43 around 8:30.
Heard that the bite wasn't until later in the morning.
Water temp was steady 67.9 degrees, swells up to 2 feet and the winds were 4 mph till around 12:00.
Trolled, trolled, trolled and trolled some more, but no love. Found 5 patties but no one was home.
Oh well, that's the way it goes sometimes.
    Take Care All,
    Robert

Good try Robert. I been eye balling that water on US side between the 182 and 43. Seems like a good temp break out there. Was thinking about giving it a shot Monday, maybe work the 182 up the 181. Rumors of fish in US water, 40 from Newport????

I hope so. I just called a guy about a nice Kodiak bait tank. I will head out again next week.

    Thanks Eddie,
All the conditions were right, I just was in the wrong place.
I got word that they were being caught as close as 30 miles out now!?
When I went out, there were a few guys out there at the 30 Mile Bank.
    Good Luck on Monday,
    Robert
