    Default Castaic Lagoon 8/14

We got to the Lagoon at around 5:00AM and started throwing Senko but no hits .
After the sun got out I switched to dropshot with plastic and right away got hit.
Next cast I caught this 5 pound bass.

Overall I landed 4 Bass and lost 3.

Were you fishing from shore? Last time I was there a month ago I kept snagging weeds and caught nothing although in the early monring there were toads cruising the shllows near shore. What area of the lake is the best to fish from shore? I appreciate any advice.

I'm there almost every week and I only fish right of the pier. I've caught bass at almost every location below the camp sites but the bite is different each day. I do well with Senkos one day at a certain location and at certain times of the day. I do better with dropshots at other locations, times and days. It is also important to study other people's post.

Yes, there are lots of weeds in the Lagoon but way less than last week. It is wise to fish with Senkos flyline when there are weeds but there were places where weeds were few.
