    any advice on what brand fishing line and lbs you guys use on a bait and wait setup? From the main line to the leader line. thanks.

    For trout I only use 2 lb...I used to use 4lb, but I get way more bites on 2lb.

    Catfish - 12 lb is a good all around line...but you can go heavier depending on where you are fishing and how big a fish you are targeting.

    I stick with 6 lb. Not too weak, but light enough for trout.

    i fish the aquaduct in the palmdale area. i use 30lbs braid to 15lbs mono topshot.
