    Default 7/30 guide trip upperlake

Fished with Steve today, he came up for a half day, great guy, we went to a couple of spots I've been finding fish at and while we did'nt tear them up for the short time we had, Steve got a couple of nice bass, we both missed as many a we caught, I was showing Steve some differnt ways to fish a whacy rig then what he's used to. overall it was a tough midmorning bite, got them though, ended up fishing the rip bait for a couple of Jailbirds, small ones, all fish were released, I stayed after to recon some differnt area's after I took Steve to the dock, Lot of boat traffic on the lake today and it allways makes for a bouncy day on the bow of my boat, I went into what they call Oak Cyn from what the sign says and found some bass in the back of the cove that wanted to play.
As the day was nearing the end I went out to the main lake and picked up another striper and about 5 more bass on the whacy rig and a splitshot merlo worm. Thanks Again Steve, you better have the doctor look at that right hand of yours, it looks like it doubled in size from the way the picture turn out... lol

The bass bite should start to improve soon, I'm seeing about a ten fish average with a better grade of fish, once the shad comes up all heck should break loose,
Come on out with me and be ready for when the bass go crazy!

    Dave-
Hey. I really had a great time out there with you! It was a little slow, but I learned a ton. Your knowledge of the lake and bass fishing in general has already paid off for me.

Yesterday, I went to the lagoon before work, and in one hour caught three LMB (one nice, two smaller) on your wacky rig method. Those are the first bass I've caught in the lagoon.

As soon as a have a free half or full day, I'll be calling you back up. Especially when the boils start!

    Steve

Good deal on those lagoon bass, that's a good average for the short time you were there.
Yes it was great having you as my first, and after what I found today, you might be back in the boat soon? I found some off my little friends, yeah
I'll email you some inside info!
    Take Care, Dave
