Default Sandies are starting to get restless guys...

With my trolling motor in the shop I had to do a weeknight fishing gig beofre I go batty so I called up Xman and bummed a ride. Launched from Davies and got to the flats in about 5 minutes. Boat was hauling arse at 40 kts! Get there and it was a double hook up right away. Then it was bass after bass. HOwever with the T top and some wind we were moving around like a sail boat on crack! All in all, X man's nephew was the hot stick as he kept getting fish after fish and Xman's boat is ooober fast!

Thanks again for giving me a great fix til I get my trolling motor back! The sandies are coming alive yo!

Thanks for the pics. Nice bass. I caught one the other day and its spine punctured my finger and made me bleed when I took the hook off. Then when I took it home, while I was filleting it, I got stuck in the finger again and bled. Then when I cut it open, a bone inside stuck my finger and I bled for the third time. I think I drew more blood then the fish. Am I the only one here who got jacked up while handling these things?

No we did not get any reds on this trip. There were Sargos and a Gopher Rockfish that was lost somewhere I guess. LOL

That's not a Gopher Rockfish, it's Brown Rockfish, a.k.a. "BOLINA". They are a very shallow water rockfish that are often found in the mud.

Beautiful bass, guys! And what a whopper of a Sargo! WOW!!!
