Default New Personal Best Striper & Smallmouth At San Antonio Lake

After many good stories of good striper fishing at san antonio lake i had to get into
some of the action to. So me and jeff "webmaster" made plans to head up there.
He said be ready at 1:30am and i was
we hit the fwy for about 20mins and hit a major traffic jam with the fwy closed off
. we sat there for around 2hours before we even started to move.....so much for the
    grey light bite.
We finally arrive at the lake with sun up and start fishing. Within 10 mins of fishing i
was hooked up to a monster striper and my new personal best striper at 15lbs.

We kept fishing and saw tons of shad and a few boils and some we thought were but
    wernt ...they were carp jumping.
We continued fishing for a bit when i hooked up into my now personal best smallmouth bass.

We saw bob T/O cruising around already limited out so we decided to pick him up as he
trailer his boat we cruised around for a bit me and jeff got a double hook up.

Later we dropped bob off at his truck netted some more shad and fished away..

It got late and the bite seemed to die off so we called it a day.

Nice fish there!!! Are you guys trolling also, or just smashin em on the shad? dragging some gear behind the boat with those squidders. Those stripers look like some inland yellos, best part is there is no one out on the lake huh?
I cant read anymore, its killing me...
