Thread: Castaic Upper LMB Sunday 5/16

Default Castaic Upper LMB Sunday 5/16

Took my son out to take advantage of a beautiful day. Couldn't get an early start so we didn't get there until 10A. My son got two smaller LMB on a drop-shot hologram shad Roboworm. Fishing about midway down the coves along the steeper rock walls in the fish arm. I was relentlessly throwing a 5" green pumpkin Senko, whacky rigged and it paid off around 11:30. Got a 5 lb, 7 oz (according to the Rapala digital scale) about 100 yards in from the main lake. Tried Elizabeth Canyon with no luck, so shot around to the ski arm. Pretty dead mid day but then we got 3 on the Senkos (all about 2 lbs) in about 45 minutes between 2 and 3. Again, along the steeper walls.

Not a ton of fish but worth it for a half-dozen including the big 'un!
