Mass Murder@ Castaic 5/15/2010....Moonlight Event

Hit the night fishing event with my Nephew Jimmy..

Set out early and made a pit stop at Captain Hook's for a load of fresh dines!!!

Before long we were at the lake in line, short line when we got there...Looooooooong line shortly after....










Knew we would be in line for a while so I planned ahead, what better to waste some time then some brats and hot links and a little Bullsh**n!!!






Not sure what time but it didn't seem too long before we were on our way!!




Got to the spot and it was instant hookup!!!! I got on a few and farmed a couple... Jimmy farmed a couple and then came up with this beauty!!




There was no moon out so it was nice n dark....




Had a bunch of doubles.....




The cooler was getting full so I had to take out a bag of ice....OG Cooler shot!!





Total Slayage......Ended the day one short of double limits....






Overall we had a Great time out there....Farmed too many fish though and broke the tip off one of my rods...

It was great seeing so many people out there for the first moonlight event and great fishing to boot!!

Owner Mosquito hooks all the way...

I use them in sizes #1 thru 2/0 for dines and choves and #2 for crawlers.

Not sure about those circle hooks but I think you've seen the light..

Those mosquito hooks worked pretty well. We were circle hooks and octopus hooks that I had for a while but I think you are correct on the mosquitos man!! Thanks for the advise and for tossin some our way!!! I should have brought my 8lb rig too cuz I got broke off a few times on the 6lb. Funny though because I didnt get brok off on my 4lb line...Go Figure....Im still gettin the bait thing down...
