Thread: Lagoon ON FIRE this morning...INSANE bite.

  1. #1

Default Lagoon ON FIRE this morning...INSANE bite. PIX ADDED NOW!

PIX ATTACHED NOW...SEE 5th post down!!!!

    Changed up the offering today.
Pizz chose something new, and I did too.
I kicked a ways away and Pizz hunkered down on an area and we let it rip for only 2 hours this morning.

We fished from 6.30 to 8.30 this morning and the bite was on FIRE> We ended up with 8 fish collectively. My biggest was 4.10lbs, Pizz landed a BEASTY 8.4 lb and also a 3.7lb.

I'll post the pics of the two bigger ones on Monday...

Clarity was MILES better than it has been in the past two weeks. (5-6 feet clarity). None of these were bedfish this time...we just fished and we fished with different lures than the NORM at the Lagoon...which was kinda cool.
pattern-specific jigs and cranks landed all but one of the fish. We had to bail out early (daughter's birthday today and she woke up and gave me the call to come home)...but 8 fish in 2 hours was good enuff today and that 8 pounder was a cool way to finish up the morning. SURE WISH we could have stayed longer. Pizz figured out the pattern early and was on fire today...nice going on the HAWG Pizz

pics coming on Monday. This 8.4 pounder was probably only a 4-5 pounder before the FAT BELLY hit...the belly on this thing is a MONSTER!...wait till you see this thing...looks bigger than 8.4...it just wasn't! Til then....go get 'em

The Lagoon was surprisingly giving today, I was out there today landing 10. An 8.4 lber, very nice, I also saw another guy land a 9.7 lber, you guy had an outstanding for only a couple hours.

I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures! I guess everyone went during the day instead of the night event, lol. I did well last night catching 8, with 6 lb 6 oz being my biggest for the night. Also lost 2.

definitely a great morning!! caught my limit in 2 hours and all on 1 bait basically off of 1 piece of structure.

the best feeling is that i was doing research on prespawn fishing (where and what to use) and tried to apply it to the lagoon since there is less structure and banks to work with. i am pretty happy with the results and bait choice.

    thanks SND for the pics!!
