    Hello All,

I started pier fishing last summer and got tired of catching croaker and mackeral. I searched for ways to target other fish and came across this site. After reading posts and gathering some information I decided I would give surf fishing a try.

My current set up is an Abu Garcia Revo Inshore with a Shimano Teramar TMC-76 MH. I got the Revo as a gift from a friend who said he was "paying it forward". All I had to do was get it serviced and that was less than $20! As of yet I havent really done much surf fishing. I've been pitching plastics at marina del rey to get used to the baitcaster as I still get frequent birdnests. I look forward to posting my first report soon. Until then tight lines everyone.
