Thread: Shoreline fishing at Castaic

    Default Shoreline fishing at Castaic

I'm taking my family up to castaic for the first time this weekend. I don't have a boat so we will be shoreline fishing. But not being familiar with the lake can someone tell me a good spot to fish? I don't want the boys to go home empty handed again. Your suggestions are very apreciated. Thanks.

rent a boat. they are crappy but its better than nothing and i guarantee you will do better out in the water than on the shore

if u end up getting a boat head up to the buoy line and fish with anchovies or sardines in about 80 foot of water and u should do fine. just dont tie up to the buoy line or you will get a ticket

I thought about renting a boat, but there are five of us and they only allow four in the boat so i have to stick to the shoreline. I heard fishing close to the damm is good. I'm going up there tomorrow (sunday) wish me luck. Ohh and thanks for the tips.
