Great Report! every time i read a Castaic report, it makes me want to go out and give it another shot. Then i start thinking about the 3 times i went and got skunked. What should i do guys? and IF i do go, i desperately need some TIPS! thanks for sharing the pics, looks like you had a awesome time!

Nice going on the fish, It can get downright nasty out there at times...Especially at the BL. Looks like it still windy up there now, I am trying to get out tomorrow and do a recon trolling mission, I will report if I do. cleaning a limit can be a pain after a long day, but It's so worth it at dinner time.

Good fishin with you guys...even though I didnt fare as well. Good times.

After you guys left, I tried anchoring up on the spot. Took a couple times for the anchor to hold but once it did, the fish were still there. I got picked up 4 times, but they wouldn't run with it long enough for me to set the hook. I was using 8 lb. test, that might have been the difference. They were hitting super light. Kind of like a nibble, just tasting it....I'll get revenge next time!! I'm gonna turn that lake RED with striper BLOOD!!!

First off, nice meeting you Andre!

But everything in your post is accurate. I had 8-10 lb and had nowhere near the action TB and son had on 4lb. The bite was extremely soft. Two taps and they were done. I had one fish tapping for over a minute before he ate.
