3/27 SMB bass

[FISHSTIX]

Went out of MDR on Saturday (3/27) for some bass action in the bay. Conditions were nice, a slight breeze with an open sky and water temp at 60 degrees. The “dogs” were everywhere sunbathing and chasing schools of baby macks. Bounced around to 3 different spots from 90’-45’. All fish were released to fight another day.
Highlight of the day was hooking up to a 6-7’ thresher and getting a few runs and jumps out of it before it cut me off.

I’m glad I was able to be out on the water but my original plan was to fish your usual stomping grounds but I ended up cutting the drive short and just fishing local.

Once I set the hook and watched my line take off towards the surface I knew it was something different. Then when I saw the tail break water I was . It went from stern to bow in an instant and made a 2 jumps before cutting me off. Im happy that I was able to get an I.d but he fact that I even hooked up to a thresher……..PRICELESS!
