Default Castaic Lake 3/24/10 Flu day fishing

Hi again. It is another week already and that means another day fishing at Castaic Lake for me. I was getting over the flu. I know it was best to stay home and get better but I had an incredible itch to fish for some stripers. Dan (Lowe Boat) offer to take me on his boat this week. Good thing because I did not feel like going through the hassle of trailing my tin boat down there under heavy dosages of nyquil. The day started out slow then we got into a quick wfo bite in the evening. I met Joey (joey805) and Rob (REZ) on the lake. Got to slay some fish in the evening with them. We had a great time out there. Here are the stills:

Here is how the day started. I was late for fishing again. I had a valid excuse. I was really sick. Got to the lake around 7:30ish and decided to fish a new area of stripers.

First bendo for the day. I think you all know this area.

Results of the bendo. A nice linesider.

Fishing was tough all day. I found a new area of fish on the meter in the morning. They did not want to go, so I waited until the evening. They sure did go when I came back for them.

Nice one. All you gotta do it give them a little time, they are bound to get hungry.

    Another nice one.

    Good size unit again!

    They were chewing.

I think the pack that was near my boat were all brothers and sisters.

Here is Dan and I striper double.

Joey (joey805) and Rob (REZ) ran into us. They took the high spot and were rewarded handsomely.

Here is another we happen to get during the flurry. Another good one.

Here is Joey and Rob's double hook up.

    Joey hooked up again!

Here is Rob checking out their bounty and Joey going bendo again. Joey was definitely the hot stick. Every time I looked over he was on another fish. I was extremely jealous.

In midst of all of Joey's fishs, I happen to land another one.

We are about to leave and the two kooks hooks up again.

Here is Dan with our bounty.

    Parting shot.

It was nice to meet you Joey and Rob. We'll go slay them again. Thanks Dan for the boat ride. Hope you all enjoyed fishing with us. I think I came home more sick than when I left for the lake this morning. Totally worth it. See you all in a couple of days.

Nice slayage! How deep are you fishing and where are the fish in the water column? I'm probably going tomorrow and haven't fished for jailbirds for a while, so I have no idea what they are doing right now.

Thanks Ron. My log book and fishing itch told me to go out fishing.
