Default Castaic 3/22 Afeternoon Session more stripers

The Jerkbait again comes thru for about ten schoolie's and one 5 plus, kept five, Lot of work throw the jerkbait all day but worth every bit when you get stopped in mid retrieve... fish came from evrywhere, Center point, E canyon has some huge schools in the back and the walls in Salom cove are working good. The Neighbors are running away from me again, snootie Valencia people, would rather eat a Mac D's fish filllet than have to cook something.... lol
I took my fridays catch over to Saim Rice In Saugus and Andy cooked us up three differnt dishes with the striper, was awesome, so instead of the usual pictures you guys see of dead stripers heres the fine grub that was perpared.
And I gave him and the cooks more than enough for themselfs. Sorry but some of the photos show the dishes half eaten but you get the idea.

This is Mushroom and Ginger striper

    This apple and cashew striper

And the last was the best, this is Sweet fish curry sauce with bell peppers and deep fried sweet basil, I believe he called this Chu Chi, was awesome...

Yeah the bites on, I havent seen any fish busting on the surface yet, TO are you getting some topwater fish?
Out of the hundred plus casts with the ripbait, this is a lot of work, but it's fun when you get bit, the fish that follow are the most fun to tease into bitting, some of the schools i've seen follow my baits are thick, E Canyon in the very back you could have walked on that school, I told some guys soaking bait that were on the hook just right before the turn that they should go back in the back and try soaking bait back there, I'm sure they had to get into them.

yep, water is clear, Ive been getting a few bass to play, stripers have been to fun on the ripbait, I've got a tired old Xrap that just plain gets bit, keep changing out the trebles on and it plays on, my arms are worked, at the end of the day they feel like i'm still working a 30 ppound chipping gun, time to pop some 800 mg motrin...lol
