Thread: Need to figure out what kind of reel I have.

Default Need to figure out what kind of reel I have.

All I know is that it's an Abu Garcia Cardinal. 5 bearings, 5.1:1 gear ratio.

I need to know because I lost my spool and the cap thingy for the spool.

Not too sure whether I can buy parts separately or not.

    Here's some pictures:

There's no product number or specific name on it or anything.

I have the 101 Cardinal... Looks about the same size??
Was holding it up against the Screen and thumb and fingers were abut the same...?? LMAO...

Just below the handle (same side as yours) it says 101 on the butt...

5.1:1,,,,,,, but says 6 bearings drive (not 5).....

101 is the smallest Cardinal size, so most likely thats it...

Might take it to a tackle store thats sells them and compare it........

Yup, just looked at an eBay listing and looks exactly the same.

Any idea if the models are still the same and where I can buy parts?

    No idea at all...
They are cheap enough (about $25 at walmart & ebay) that selling that as a parts reel and buying a new one would be the thing to do (if you cant find those parts)...

You could go to Abu Garcia web site and look for dealers or give them a call or email and ask....

Most Reel makers dont change parts very often, costs to much to retool for a new design..
So many, many parts from a maker are the same.... Even from model to model.....
