NPH Fishing on My Birthday 4/27

Just wanted to update this post. After a full day of fishing, I was too exhausted to write full description and upload all the pics.

Left for NPH at around 6am, thinking we were going to meet up with Hesbros for some AM fishing for my birthday at our usual shore spots. Hesbros met up with us around 7am and said he wanted to start out at the 15th street dock. Got there to find Flyngby "floatngby" on his boat with a grin on his face. SURPRISE!!! It took me a minute to figure out that Tesserz had planned this trip with Hesbros and Flyngby for my birthday. I couldn't have asked for a better gift!



Note: We were not able to take a picture of ALL the fish caught that day, so look out for Hesbros and Flyngby's posts for more fish porn!!

It was our first time fishing off the boat and we were still using the DS and were not producing any fish. Hesbros and Flyngby had already caught a few on the swimmies, so Tesserz switched and came up with her 2nd spottie of the day

At this point the only thing I had were nibbles on the DS. I was starting to feel the pressure, being the only one without a fish, so I jumped on the bandwagon and tied on a swimmie. The result: BENDO!

Tesserz was feeling lazy so she was letting the trolling motor do the work for her when she hooked up with her first and last hali of the day.

Another sandie for Hesbros! He was catching faster than we could snap the pics so I already lost count of how many he'd caught by now!




Tesserz's FIRST sandie EVER! She was so happy she made me take multiple pictures with it (which was taking away from my fishing time, lol) but here's one of it.

Tesserz had a major bendo that wrapped her around a bridge piling. She was pissed about that, but caught this one a few minutes later. What a MONSTER! It's a little hard to see cauz it's so huge. Her 2nd sandie!




And of course another one for Hesbros shortly after. Doesn't he ever get tired of catching spotties? LOL

Our last pic of the day. Unfortunately we weren't able to get a group pic of the 4 of us, but Tess wanted a pic of all the boys. And of course it was with yet another Hesbro spottie. He was our MVP for the day.




This day was one of the most memorable birthdays I have ever had. Special thanks again to Flyngby, Hesbros and Tesserz for making this all possible. Eddie, Tess told me about "the plan". Thanks for everything you did. You guys really got me good. Steve, thank you for being our guide and giving us a tour of NPH. You did an amazing job maneuvering your boat with precision and giving us NPH rookies all the hot spots. We'll never look at NPH the same way again. We had an awesome time. Thank You.

Pretty cool, I was waiting for this report. Congrats on a great day fishing with a couple of harbor veterans Jason. Steve & Eddie are a blast to fish with. I'm waiting for my turn in the rotation. Jason, happy belated birthday. Tess, congrats on your first Turd Roller (Sand Bass). Nice Spottie Eddie! Steve, I see that you broke in that new net in style.

Nice report! Looks like a wide open day in NPH. My new boat is ready for the harbor! I need some advice. Haven't taken a boat in the harbor. Maybe one of your experts could help a brother out??

Thanks everyone! It was such a great day!!! We were out there from 6:30am to about 8:30ish pm, and Hesbros and Flyngby were there even earlier! It was my first time fishing off a boat and Jaysuuun's first time on a boat at NPH and we absolutely LOVED it! I had only caught one spottie before this trip so I was having a grand ol' time. Got a little careless at one point (I'm so so so sorry again), but overall a great trip. I was SO EXCITED to catch my first sandie (turd roller, lol thanks Wingnut)... actually it was all wrapped up in my line and Eddie explained the whole turd roller thing, lol. I believe it! I also learned what a "farmer" is, LOL, thanks Eddie for the great demonstration and Steve for pointing it out, haha.

Jaysuuun posted our pics but Hesbros and Flyngby have a bunch more if you can believe it! It really was an awesome day of fishing. There were 3 camaras so we didn't take a pic of every hookup. Hesbros caught 3 MONSTER spotties and I think he had the highest fish count of the day. Flyngby was keeping track of the fish count so look out for both of their posts.


Thanks again Steve and Eddie for a wonderful day of fishing. It was such a memorable experience and we owe it all to you.
