Default Time to dust off the old surf gear!! LBC 2/22

With nothing but structure bass and sculpin fishing lately. Thought it was time to break out the surf gear again, and also break-in a new surf rod that MOON AT (FISHERMAN'S DEPOT) made for me.

Thanks moon! see you this fri..

So i hit up another fishing buddy Devon to see if he wanted to meet up.. Everything was a go, we meet up at 11:30 am for the upcoming high tide. I went straight for the luckys and Devon worked various gulp.

After about an hour i hook up with this healthy short guy!

Soon after switching lc's i hook another short!

    The release!

Then Devon decided to change up to a swim bait and nails this hali!

No legal's today, but it was great to get out there again..
We had to work really hard for these fish, but that's the name of the game. The bonus was the awesome weather we had that day
    Thanks for reading.
    well, til next time..
    Fish on!

    Great job out there lngbchfnhntr,
I will be out there tomorrow, unless it rains, and hopefully get my legal. That is a very nice rod, I particularly like the halibut picture.
Thanks for the report and pics,
    Robert

Glad to see the surf allowed some action as "Mother Nature" has been punishing the shores of late! A good sine that they are still there and or moving in!

    Thanks,FFLB
I think he said it was a ten footer. He had a c rig on it, but used the other rod the most for halis..
