I found a old bait casting reel in my dads garage that is in good shape. Has anyone ever fished with one of these ? I plan using it. Its a Ambassadeur 5000 C ABU.

is that the green, black, or red ambassadeur???

I was getting all excited for you LOL...because if I'm thinking right. That model was produced in the 3 different colors. Green was the most rare. Not worth big money...but a real collectors items. I love abu reels especially the older baitcasters. I just love that old look. Should be a great reel for around the lake.

Yes thats the the one, Its from the 1970's. I took it completely apart and cleaned regreased and oiled. The old timer runs smooth as silk and is loaded with 12 pound test. Can't wait to try it out.....Thanks for the reply Danny.
Time to hit DVL with that reel to see what it can do hehehe. or ninja trip tonight ;)
